What we do in Beech Room

Both our inside and outdoor environments are planned to give children space to explore and experience new things, as well as providing areas for calm and quiet times. Children are allocated their own keyworker who helps them to build their confidence and independence in exploring the environment. They also plan small group times based on children’s individual next steps.

Staff prepare by closely observing children’s interests and planning resources and activities around them. Observations, photographs and examples of children’s work are added to each child’s learning diary which parents are able to view on request.

Keyworkers work hard to build strong relationships with both children and parents, and are always on hand to answer any questions or discuss any issues that may arise. Family meetings are planned throughout the year to share children’s learning and development.
